01

Train4Lab, BASIS, PREMIUM & PREMIUMPLUS

Product, target groups and getting started

What is Train4Lab?
Train4Lab is a specialised digital working and professional-development environment for laboratory diagnostics. Professional orientation, case work, repetition and documented use support diagnostic confidence in the laboratory. Train4Lab is not a generic LMS and does not replace SOPs, diagnostics or professional responsibility.
What does BASIS provide?
BASIS is personal access for laboratory professionals and can also be provided by a laboratory. The user works independently and keeps personal progress and records. It costs EUR 285 per person/year in 2026 and EUR 365 from 2027.
What does PREMIUM provide for a laboratory?
PREMIUM is the standard institutional access for laboratory teams. Pricing uses 30 people as a reference; this is not a user limit. It costs EUR 10,500 net per laboratory/year in 2026 and EUR 12,900 from 2027, and includes institutional Train4Lab access, the complementary Train4Lab course area in LearnWorlds and the Train4Lab Laborreport. Larger teams can receive an individual quote.
What is PREMIUMPLUS?
PREMIUMPLUS adds only separately agreed services to PREMIUM. These may include a custom company profile or branding, country- or language-specific packages, LearnWorlds branding, LABMANAGER and other individual services. Standard PREMIUM remains the regular laboratory offering.
Does every laboratory automatically receive a custom company profile?
No. The regular offering uses the standardised Train4Lab access model. A customer-specific company profile with individual branding or other adaptations is an optional PREMIUMPLUS service and is agreed separately.
What is the role of the Train4Lab course area in LearnWorlds?
PREMIUM includes the designated Train4Lab course offering. Live webinars for PREMIUM and supplementary live formats are provided as needed and by arrangement. LearnWorlds is a complementary learning environment within PREMIUM. It is not Train4Lab itself and does not create a customer LMS integration.
How does a laboratory get started?
BASIS and PREMIUM are optional offerings. An enquiry, demo, test access or guided pilot can help clarify the appropriate entry point. A pilot is non-binding and does not create a purchase obligation.
Can Train4Lab be used on mobile devices?
The main visible areas are designed for desktop, tablet and smaller screens. Some image-intensive training is more comfortable on a larger display.
How is the English scope controlled?
English access follows a separately released EN product authority. German and English access are assigned separately; English content that has not been released is not silently replaced with German content. The visible scope can therefore differ between DE and EN.
02

Privacy & security

Data scope, roles, consent and boundaries

What data is required for access?
The required scope depends on the access model. Train4Lab uses only the identity and profile data intended for sign-in and assignment; specific details follow the relevant access process and privacy information.
Who can see personal learning activity?
Personal views and permissions are role- and profile-bound. Aggregated management views are separated from personal learning views and show only the approved scope.
Are production patient data required?
No. Production patient data must not be entered into Train4Lab. Free-text, comment and feedback fields are also not intended for patient data. Training content and supplied case material remain separate from the production laboratory information system.
How is cookie consent handled on public pages?
The ConsentManager is loaded centrally on the relevant public and signed-out Train4Lab entry surfaces. A stored decision should not be replaced by a second parallel consent system. The visible privacy and consent settings remain authoritative.
What security promises does Train4Lab make?
Train4Lab describes only technical and organisational measures that can be substantiated. It does not make a blanket guarantee of uninterrupted operation, complete absence of errors or the security of third-party systems.
03

AI at Train4Lab

Use, control and responsibility

Is AI directly integrated into Train4Lab?
No. Train4Lab currently provides no general AI assistant that independently processes user input for diagnostic decisions. AI may support development, structuring, language work or checks outside the end-user product.
Is AI used when content is created?
AI may support structuring, language work or technical checks. Published content remains subject to editorial processes and the review status documented for the relevant area.
Does AI make diagnostic decisions?
No. Train4Lab is a professional-development and orientation system. It does not replace diagnostics, treatment decisions, SOPs or professional responsibility in the laboratory.
Can AI-supported content contain errors?
Yes. Source checks, editorial control, corrections and renewed review after relevant changes therefore remain part of the quality process. Issues can be reported through the designated feedback and error-reporting channels.
Are user inputs automatically used to train AI?
No. Train4Lab does not use user data as training data for an AI model embedded in Train4Lab. Issue reports may be reviewed to improve Train4Lab; patient data and other sensitive personal content must not be entered into these fields.
04

Access and team onboarding

Access, language, scope and onboarding

How is access configured?
The access process is configured for BASIS, PREMIUM or an agreed PREMIUMPLUS service. Only the areas released for that access are visible. Automatic integration into customer systems is not offered and is not currently planned.
Can one access switch freely between German and English?
No. DE and EN are separately released product scopes. Language and visible product scope are bound to the assigned access or released profile; silent switching with an unreleased fallback is not intended.
What happens when access expires?
Renewal or renewed activation is clarified with the agreed contact. Train4Lab does not promise automatic renewal.
Can an optional pilot move into PREMIUM?
Yes. After a joint review, an optional pilot can move into the regular institutional PREMIUM access if that is appropriate for the laboratory.
05

Personal records, evidence and Laborreport

Personal documentation and institutional aggregation

What is the Train4Lab personal professional-development record?
It is the personal documentation of Train4Lab learning activity. It supports personal orientation and remains separate from the institutional view.
What is the Train4Lab Laborreport?
The Train4Lab Laborreport is part of PREMIUM. It aggregates available topics, usage, completion and evidence data for the laboratory over the agreed period. Source, period and coverage limit what can be concluded from it.
Can laboratory management see every individual result?
No. The Laborreport is not employee evaluation, competence measurement or surveillance. It contains no rankings, no personal deficit profiles and no automatic competence determination. Detail values may be suppressed or omitted for small groups.
Is the Laborreport evidence of competence, compliance or accreditation?
No. It is not a competence score, competence certification, accreditation, compliance or attendance certificate, and it is not external verification. It documents available Train4Lab professional-development activity at laboratory level.
How do personal records, evidence, certificates and the Laborreport differ?
The personal record belongs to the individual. Activity and completion evidence document technically supported use or completion of the relevant area. A certificate is a separate document and is available only where a defined eligibility and evidence rule is satisfied. The Laborreport is institutional aggregated professional-development documentation.
How does certificate eligibility work?
Certificates are not created merely by opening a page or spending time in the system. Where a certificate is offered, the activity, completion or evidence requirements defined for that area must be met. Areas without certificate release do not generate a certificate.
What is the certificate rule in PREMIUM?
For each registered PREMIUM user, the first optional Train4Lab certificate is included where that certificate is offered and its eligibility rule has been met. Further optional certificates cost EUR 30.
Is there general CPD recognition?
Train4Lab does not claim general CPD recognition, blanket ISO or compliance conformity, or a formal qualification statement.
Is LABMANAGER included in PREMIUM?
No. LABMANAGER is a separate paid PREMIUMPLUS add-on and is not included in the regular PREMIUM price. It is a decision and reflection simulation, not a Laborreport dashboard and not an employee-evaluation tool.
06

Operation, hosting, IT & support

Technical requirements, boundaries and support

What does Train4Lab require technically?
Train4Lab is used in a browser. Released content requires a current browser, a stable connection and the web access permitted by the organisation.
Does Train4Lab integrate with existing laboratory systems?
Automatic integration into customer systems is not offered and is not currently planned. In particular, no LIS, HIS/KIS, SSO or customer LMS integration and no automatic API data exchange are offered.
How are version and technical changes made traceable?
The platform exposes a product version together with build and source-state information. Technical changes are tested locally and become productive only after the intended release and deployment steps. A visible version number alone is not proof of a production deployment.
How are errors and outages handled?
Technical issues can be reported through the designated feedback and support channels. Please provide the page or module, observed behaviour and necessary steps; do not send passwords, tokens or patient data.
How can I request support or an offer?
Feedback and technical questions use the online support route. Offers and access are requested through the offer overview and enquiry process, where intended use, access model and scope are clarified.

Quality & professional review

Train4Lab describes its quality process by content area. Review status, review type and date are shown only where they are centrally documented. If reliable metadata is missing, the platform states that the review status is not centrally documented.

For example, a specialist medical review is documented for the haematology learning cards. This statement applies only to that content area and is not a blanket review claim for the entire platform.

CreationContent and learning objectives are prepared for the relevant area.
Professional reviewOnly documented review types and reviewer roles are shown.
ReleaseVisible release follows the status of the specific area.
UpdateTechnical or professional changes are updated traceably.
Renewed reviewRelevant changes trigger renewed review where required.

There is no blanket claim that all Train4Lab content has been reviewed by a medical specialist. The specific content area and its documented metadata are authoritative.
